Special Projects
A project that Microtech is currently involved in is an innovative and award-winning new startup called Tech Air Solutions, who have developed a bollard that measures and cleans polluted air around it. This new product will dramatically improve the air quality in high traffic areas, including schools, drive thrus and bus stops.
The Microtech team applied their filtration knowledge and skills, whilst also bringing together some specialist partners including the University of Derby, to develop a working prototype, which is now ready to bring to market for early trials.
It has also been nominated for an Earthshot prize, which was founded and lead by Prince William, to 'find and grow solutions that will repair our planet', a mission very close to our hearts here at Microtech Filters.
Nexcel is an automotive technology start-up setup by the world renowned oil company Castrol.
We worked with the innovative team at Nexcel to develop a new type of oil filter that would be encased in it's own sealed housing and could be removed easily and cleanly in only 90 seconds.
